The definition of a jet setter is a person who travels frequently; often, it is used to describe someone in high society with a glamorous life. An example of a jet setter is an heiress who flies off to Paris to shop.



This jetsetter's life is in fact "normal" life for you.

go out on a limb


* if you go out on a limb, you state an opinion or youdo something which is very different to most other people
*  independently, separately, in a dangerous position, sticking your neck out (informal)

=> ~일에 목을 걸다. 아주 위험한 처지에 놓인; 소외되는 (나무의 본기둥이 아니라...)

위에서의 뜻도 있는데 "생각이나 의견이 다른 사람의 지지를 못받는,다른사람과는 다른'의 뜻입니다.

(말많은 에너지 법안에 찬성하다.목을 걸고...)


흔히 '우리 사장이 알면 나 죽일려고 할테지만, 이번만은 봐줄께'라고 하면

이 행동이 go out on a limb (부러질지도 모를 나뭇가지에 올라가는 것이니까)입니다.

'이번만은 봐준다'란 표현으로 I'll get you slip/slide by at this time.라는 말을 합니다.

'사장이 나를 죽이려고 한다.란 표현은 'My boss will jump down my throat.'라고 할수 있습니다.
